The 8 top beauty trends spotted at Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2021
From ny to Paris, via London and Milan, almost 200 fashion shows presented the trends of the season Fall/Winter 2021. While each show revealed something different and unique, when it involves beauty, many big houses shared common themes. Take a glance at the 8 key hair and makeup trends set to shape the Fall/Winter season.
Glossy lips
Whether they're nude or colored, lips are going to be glossy this winter. Lacquered tints were spotted at Tom Ford, Off-White, Lanvin, Christopher Kane and more.
The disco look
From crystals to glitter and gold foil , all that glittered was added to models' eyelids (and sometimes their whole faces) over the four fashion capitals. True works of art were created by Isamaya Ffrench, Julien d’Ys and lots of others.
The nude makeup look
Including the likes of Balmain, Chanel, Givenchy, Burberry and Isabel Marant, brands went back to basics with natural makeup spotted everywhere the runways this month. The no make-up trend may be a daytime dream.
Charcoal eyes
Whether its an easy trace of kohl or a graphic liner, black isn't leaving our eyes this season, creating a hypnotic look whenever.
Slicked back hair
The “wet hair” look was everywhere this fashion week. From Proenza Schoeler to Sacai, Pucci to Erdem, slick hair was present at each Fashion Week this season.
The essential red lip
A beauty staple that never goes out of favor , the red lip was spotted many an time this season, in an incandescent red with orange tones.
Colorful makeup
From small touches to bold blocks lines, high pigment makeup was spotted at Matty Bovan, Dries Van Noten, Emporio Armani, Missoni and Miu Miu. the right look to fight against the winter gray.
The retro look
With pin-up hair, a Jackie Kennedy-inspired blow-dry, a classic red lip and gloriously clumpy, layered mascara, it's safe to mentionthat vintage was an idea this season.
The Instant Fix
This refers to the age-old desire for instant gratification, focused on the skincare segment. Products that allow a consumer to see immediate improvement in bags or lines or brightening are often in this class.
The Doll Look
Using heavy makeup or surgery to create a look is more porcelain-like, smooth and perfect. It doesn’t aspire to be natural-looking — it’s about flawlessness and it’s taken deep root in the makeup and hair businesses. Most recently, L'Oreal acquired my firm’s client, Pulp Riot hair, in a perfect example of the trend.
